I've been browsing this sub for a while and I was wondering how all of you lot guys and gals got into streetwear and what you beginning bought. I'g sixteen and trying to break away from my usual jeans and American Eagle shirt style and I'yard hoping your feel helps me.

Inspired initially by one of my close friends who dressed differently from everybody else, and I admired that and idea he looked expert. My mum and girlfriend wanted me to be a vineyard vines boy, only once I got to college my girlfriend dumped my distressing ass and my mom was back home so I started stunting on these fools.

I've always tried to stand out with beingness more fashionable than the people around me. Matched the colors of my shoes and shirts at a young age. Then I started at MFA when I was like 15/xvi. Listened to a lot of indie music, which influenced me into wearing more than "hipster-ish" dress. Eventually started listening to more hip-hop/rap, which got me into streetwear. Now i'chiliad evolving more into male person fashion, less hypebeast/flashy outfits.

I think i started for all the incorrect reasons, looking for recognition from my friends, trying to fit in, etc. only now i see fashion every bit a form of expression rather than a way for me to fit in. It takes fourth dimension to develop your mode and fashion that you're comfortable with and then just enjoy the ride :)
